The mining method employed is the longwall coal face, in which caving is controlled by means of individual hydraulic props. We first report the empirical formulas used to estimate the roof pressure in mines of this type. We also analyze the constraints imposed in the Dortmund guidelines for the mining of longwall coal faces.

اقرأ أكثرThe method used to extract copper from its ores depends on the nature of the ore. Sulfide ores such as chalcopyrite ((CuFeS_2)) are converted to copper by a different method from silicate, carbonate or sulfate ores. Chalcopyrite (also known as copper pyrites) and similar sulfide ores are the commonest ores of copper.

اقرأ أكثرThis article is concerned with a simple hydrometallurgical method for the selective recovery of germanium from fly ash (FA) generated in an integrated gasification with combined cycle (IGCC) process. The method is based on the leaching of FA with water and a subsequent concentration and selective separation of germanium by a …
اقرأ أكثرExtraction of metals. The process of extracting metal ores buried deep underground is called mining. The metal ores are found in the earth's crust in varying abundance. The extraction of metals from ores is what allows us to use the minerals in the ground. The ores are very different from the finished metals that we see in buildings and bridges.
اقرأ أكثرThe different components of coal and gangue made them show different color characteristics. Typically, the coal surface was dark under dry conditions, while the gangue surface was pale under dry conditions, as shown in Fig. 1 a).So the statistical features of grayscale were the first choice for the recognition of coal and gangue.
