This work presents the recognition of sequence stratigraphy surfaces and inferred paleobathymetric trends for the Late Cretaceous outcrops of the Ariyalur area bound between 10°56.08′–11°25.5′N and 78°45.36′–79°12.5′E (Fig. 2).The sequence stratigraphy surfaces recognised in the outcrop sections are SB, TST, MFS and HST.
