The only Dana 44 that will bolt into an early Bronco without modification is a Dana 44 out of another early Bronco. Make sure you understand what this "replacement" Dana 44 is. Drivers side drop, radius arm wedges, etc. If it's been modified to fit an early Bronco, you might want to pay attention to what knuckles and spindles it's got.

High steer was recommended by the shop that priced the knuckle rotation. For the cost of the high steer, and the work that will be required to get the track bar parallel to the drag link again, I'm just not sure it's worth the cost.

My bronco is a 76 with Stonecrusher steering and 3 1/2" suspension lift. I'm running a track bar raise bracket (also from Stonecrusher). The steering is very tight against the diff cover, radius arm C-clamps, and the track bar bolt so I have to pay close attention to how I fit this ram in with the rest of the steering.
